[영상M] Two men who fled to Vietnam…what’s the end?

A man is accused of committing fraud in Korea and fleeing to Vietnam.

The man is accused of stealing 270 million won by deceiving the victim in 2017 in Seocho-gu, Seoul, saying, “If I invest in additional restaurant openings, I will pay interest at 3% a year.”

Only seven cases of fraud have been uncovered so far, and the damage amounted to 2.2 billion won.

After receiving information that the man was staying in Da Nang, Vietnam, the police worked with local police to find the hotel where he was staying.

Finally, on May 11, after several days of incubation, we succeeded in arresting this man.

A man who scammed Koreans in Vietnam was also arrested in cooperation with the local community.

Last May 25, on a flight to Korea. Police inspect the hated man’s belongings and issue an arrest warrant.

“I’ll issue a warrant, now… I’ll handcuff the man soon.”

The man is accused of stealing more than 2 billion won from more than 30 Koreans in Vietnam in 2019, saying “I am constructing a 1 million pyeong resort and hotel in Hanoi”.

In September last year, the police, who received intelligence about the man from the Vietnamese police officer, were issued an Interpol red wanted and worked with Vietnamese public security and police officers to trace the local whereabouts.

Finally, on May 12, when this man appeared at the hospital in Hanoi, an arrest team was dispatched immediately and arrested in 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The police said, “Recently, with the easing of COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, arrests of fugitives through international cooperation are normalizing.”
