Jiwon Park, Kyunghwan Hong, Yongjin Lim (Goyang City Hall), and Taeseong Kim (Dankook University) took the silver medal in the men’s 5000m relay in the second leg of the 2022-2023 International Skating Union (ISU) World Cup held on the 7th (Korean time) in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
The Korean national team raced back and forth against China, and with one last lap left, Park Ji-won was able to overtake and take the silver medal.
After passing, Park Ji-win looked back and crossed the finish line leisurely, waving her left index finger. The gesture is said to have been made in the sense that a Chinese player continuously uses his hand during the game to foul, and not to use his hand.
