(Geneva = Yonhap News) Correspondent Lim Eun-jin = The UN Human Rights Office said on the 7th (local time) that the number of civilians killed in Ukraine in the Russian invasion exceeded 400.

According to the Human Rights Office, from 4:00 a.m. on the 24th of last month to 0:00 of the same day, 406 civilians died and 801 were injured, the Human Rights Office said.

Of these, 27 were children.

The Human Rights Office said the number of casualties was delayed in areas where fighting had recently intensified, and feared that the actual number would be higher.

In addition, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that there have been seven confirmed attacks on medical facilities in Ukraine since the start of the war, Reuters reported.

The WHO added that there may have been two other attacks.

Earlier, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus tweeted yesterday that “the attack on health care facilities and health workers is a violation of medical neutrality and international humanitarian law.”

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said on the 6th that it had identified more than 1735,000 refugees who had fled Ukraine.

Of these, more than one million people, the majority, have fled to Poland.
