(Mexico City = Yonhap News) Correspondent Mi-hye Ko = There are large white bubbles on one side of the road.

It may look fantastic as if a cumulus cloud has landed on the ground, but it is actually a poisonous bubble that stinks.

The place that was attacked by the bubble was a village in Mosquera, about 20 km from Bogota, the capital of Colombia in South America.

According to Caracol Radio, Colombia, on the 28th (local time), these bubbles came from the nearby Valsillas River.

It is said that bubbles were formed because the river water was contaminated with domestic sewage mixed with detergent and wastewater from an industrial complex near the river.

Something similar happened before, but the recent heavy rains have made the bubbles bigger.

Bubbles that have flown into the village from the wind block the road and obstruct traffic.

Experts advise residents to stay away from the toxic foam as it can adversely affect the skin and respiratory tract.

Edwin Garcia, the local environmental authority, told Caracol Radio that “it’s important to keep children out of the reach of the foam because we haven’t yet identified the full characteristics of the foam’s ingredients.”

It is nature’s counterattack where rivers polluted by humans come back to threaten humans.
