Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced on the 1st that trot singer Jeong Dong-won donated 1.5 million won to help children with leukemia. The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a non-profit foundation that is engaged in projects such as child cancer, leukemia, and children with rare diseases. The foundation decided to use the donated money to treat children with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases. Jung also donated 700,000 won and 1.5 million won, respectively, in June and July.

■ The National Cancer Center announced on the 1st that it held the 2nd Goyang Peace Medical Forum at Kintex, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on the 30th of last month in collaboration with Goyang City and the Goyang Municipal Research Institute. ■ Hyundai Bio has submitted a phase 1 clinical trial plan for ‘CP-COV03’, an antiviral drug developed as an oral improved drug for the treatment of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19, Corona 19) to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety last month. It was announced on the 1st that the application was made on the 30th. The clinical trial is conducted at Gangnam St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul and is conducted on 18 healthy adults.

Korea Atomic Energy Medical Institute announced on the 1st that it held a joint video seminar for information exchange in the field of radiation emergency treatment with Hirosaki University in Japan at the National Radiation Emergency Treatment Center on the 30th of last month. The Academy of Nuclear Medicine has been holding seminars continuously since it signed a business agreement for joint research and technology exchange with Hirosaki University, which serves as a base for emergency radiation treatment in northern Japan in 2013.
