[자막뉴스] Russian invasion of Ukraine imminent? US orders evacuation of embassy staff and family

The U.S. State Department has ordered the evacuation of the families of U.S. embassy employees in Ukraine.

While allowing non-essential personnel to leave the country, it has advised all Americans in Ukraine to leave Ukraine.

As for Russia, the travel ban has been re-imposed for U.S. citizens.

These measures indicate that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is imminent, and it is interpreted that the United States has launched procedures to protect its citizens in case a war breaks out.

But Russia’s foreign ministry said the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and NATO members were escalating tensions in Ukraine with false information.

In the midst of this, reports have emerged that the US is considering sending a large-scale power asset near Ukraine.

The New York Times reported that the United States is considering sending thousands of troops, as well as naval warships and air force planes, to the NATO alliance in the Baltic and Eastern Europe, awaiting a decision from President Biden.

Currently, 4,000 US and 1,000 NATO troops are stationed in Poland, and 4,000 NATO troops are stationed in Baltic countries.

This plan to dispatch troops goes against the warnings of President Putin, who has expressed strong opposition to NATO’s advance.

Russia has deployed at least 100,000 troops at the Ukrainian border, and has recently moved troops and equipment to the Belarusian border for military training purposes.

As the tension between the US and the US over the Ukraine crisis escalates, the US has decided to give an answer to Russia’s security guarantee request this week, drawing attention to whether it will be implemented and its content.
