Over the construction of an apartment building in Gyeryong, Chungcheongnam-do, nearby residents have complained of noise and dust for several months.
However, it was revealed that the construction company secretly filmed the apartment across the street with CCTV to verify that the complaint is true.

Apartment construction is in full swing across a six-lane round-trip road.
However, recently, the residents of the apartment across the street were surprised when they visited the construction site due to noise and dust issues.
It was because their apartment complex was clearly reflected on the CCTV monitor placed in the field office.
[김정수 / 건너편 아파트 주민 : 그 화면상에 저희 베란다를, 주택을 비추고 있는 모니터가 있어서 깜짝 놀랐었는데…. (영상이 찍혔다고 생각하니) 심리적이고 정신적인 고통이 이루 말할 수 없습니다.]
Residents were shocked at the thought that their privacy had been monitored 24 hours a day.
An official at the construction site confessed that he used CCTV to understand the dynamics of the residents.
[공사 현장 관계자 : 문을 못 열고 분진 때문에, 그 이야기를 하셨는데. 그래 가지고, 우리는 여기에 카메라가 12대가 설치가 돼 있어요.]
[아파트 주민 : 네네. 잘 돼 있더라고요.]
[공사 현장 관계자 : 그래서 거기에 지금 3개월 치가 저장돼 있는데.]
[아파트 주민 : 그 말씀 하실 줄 알았어요. 창문 열었다고 그럴 거죠?]
It has been confirmed that the CCTV here can be used to adjust the camera angle in the office at the construction site, so it is possible to shoot even to the apartment across the street.
As protests from residents continued, the construction company claimed that it was just to check how much the windows were opened and closed, and that it was only checked once.
In response, security experts point out that the act of illuminating an apartment through CCTV itself is illegal.

When YTN coverage began, the construction company acknowledged that there was a problem in the operation of the CCTV and announced that it would prevent recurrence.

Residents could not believe the explanation of the construction company, so they decided to go through a legal process demanding the disclosure of all the filming content.
