Dozens of ‘light pillars’ with golden strings floating in the air appeared in the Jeju sky last night.

Dozens of soft and mysterious pillar-shaped lights poured into the Jeju night sky.

The ‘gold string’, which sparkled like wildfire, did not disappear and continued to float for over an hour.

This light was seen in most areas along the Jeju coast, including Seogwipo.

The Korean Meteorological Administration described the floating golden lines in the sky as the ‘Light Column phenomenon’.

Boats that go fishing at night turn on their ‘catching lights’ to attract fish.

At this time, the clouds or cold ice crystals act as mirrors and reflect the lights of the fishing boats to illuminate the night sky.

Last night, six vehicles collided near the Gyeyang Interchange in the direction of Pangyo on the 1st ring road in the metropolitan area.

At that time, the lorry collided with the car in front of it, and then four other vehicles also collided.

The accident injured the driver of the SUV and caused severe traffic jams late at night.

At the monastery in Waegwan, Chilgok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, a fire of unknown cause broke out in the deep night close to midnight.

The fire burned the two wooden warehouses and was extinguished in 50 minutes.
