Recently, there was an incident where a high school junior high school student died while diving at a pier in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do.
As a result of the Coast Guard investigation, it was revealed that the accident occurred because the owner did not take minimum safety rules or preventive measures.
The bereaved family filed a complaint to arrest the owner and impose severe punishment.

It has been more than ten days since Hong Jeong-woon, a third year high school student, died while working to remove barnacles from the hull.
At the marina port where the accident occurred, banners urging measures to prevent recurrence along with chrysanthemums commemorating Hong were hung one after another.
Hong’s family visited the Yeosu Coast Guard and the Gwangju District Prosecutor’s Office, and filed a complaint to arrest and severely punish the company’s CEO.
In particular, since Hong had a fear of water, I suspect that he may have been diving under someone’s coercion.

As a result of the investigation, it was found that the CEO of the company did not deploy a safety manager while diving, and he also violated the safety rules for diving in a group of two.

The Coast Guard has booked a representative of a yacht company on charges of negligent manslaughter and is investigating.
Apart from the police investigation, the Ministry of Employment and Labor is also intensively inspecting the workplace after stopping the work the day after the accident.

Although it is a practical exercise as a student, if the reality of being treated as a low-wage worker in the field does not fundamentally change, accidents will inevitably be repeated despite government measures that occur every time.
