As freight vehicles stop operating following the cargo union strike, ‘roadloading’ takes place, where drivers drive new cars themselves.
The daily wage is so good that job seekers flock to it.
Concerns are also being raised that this is being done without proper prior training or driving license verification.

Early in the morning before dawn,
Dozens of people are gathered in a shelter next to the Gwangju Stream.
As if they knew they would have to endure the cold for hours, they packed thick clothes, hats, and hand warmers.

It is a line that tries to find a so called ‘load load’ job that drives the finished car directly and transports it to the warehouse.
This is a phenomenon that appeared when the operation of freight vehicles stopped due to the cargo union strike.
Dozens of buses were lined up on the roads around the meeting point to transport the truck drivers recruited to the car factory.
Depending on the distance, you can receive up to 150,000 won from the Kia Motors Factory in Gwangju and more than 250,000 won from the Hyundai Motors Plant in Ulsan.
Some people have been informed in advance about work, but if not, there are many cases where they come out early in the morning and wait and don’t get work.

The recruitment of daily workers is done in a hurry, so there are many concerns.
It has been argued that safety education is not carried out sufficiently, and that even driver’s licenses are not checked.

The company explained that there are some gaps while the transport company promotes work urgently, and that it has recently completed inspections on various points.
