A lot of vacationers flock to Jeju, but there is a high risk of infection in vacation spots?

That’s right.

There are also many summer vacationers coming to this beach to cool off from the scorching heat.

I am enjoying my vacation by playing in the water.

As the number of travelers who want to enjoy summer vacations increases, the risk of infection in vacation destinations is also increasing.

People who have traveled to Jeju continue to be infected with COVID-19 through contact.

Recently, a group infection occurred in three guesthouses in Jeju.

It is known that the infection started from travelers from other regions who visited the guesthouse.

It is presumed that they were infected while sharing an indoor public space.

In addition, 11 family travelers from the Busan area, consisting of three families, came to Jeju and became infected with the nth infection, from family members to Jeju residents.

In Daegu, five people from a family went on vacation to Jeju, and after symptoms appeared, confirmed cases are following one after another at the Taekwondo studio and church where the family attends.

With the summer vacation season approaching, the number of people traveling across the country is increasing, raising concerns about an additional spread.

As a result of analysis of mobile phone movement data by the Central Accident Response Headquarters, the nationwide movement volume continues to increase.

In particular, non-metropolitan areas have been increasing for three consecutive weeks since the third week of July.

As of 00:00 today, 673 of the 1,762 new confirmed cases in Korea occurred in non-metropolitan areas.

During the holiday season, the rate of confirmed cases in non-metropolitan areas fluctuates around 40% every day.

Quarantine authorities are urging people to follow personal quarantine rules, saying that the delta mutation, which has strong contagious power, can infect outdoors.

When planning a trip, Jeju Island’s quarantine authorities said that if they receive a PCR test and test negative, they ask them to travel.

It is of utmost importance for each traveler to observe personal quarantine rules such as wearing a mask and social distancing to prevent the spread of infection and ensure a safe vacation.
