There was an accident when a truck running on the highway hit workers doing road maintenance work.
Two people were killed in the accident, but the driver of the truck told the police that the brakes were not working.

It is near the Hamyang service area in the direction of Tongyeong on the Daejeon-Tongyeong expressway.

However, the emergency patient did not regain consciousness.

It was around 8:18am when the workers’ truck hit a pavement on the highway.
Two workers in their 50s were killed in the accident, and a worker in his 60s was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
The driver of the lorry also suffered back injuries and is being treated in hospital.
The truck driver told police that the accident happened after turning away from the construction vehicle because the brakes were not working.

The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident based on the black box video and the driver’s statement.
