The ‘1st TS Tuning Car Festival’ held by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority in conjunction with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has ended successfully.

This event, held at the BMW Driving Center in Incheon on the 14th and 15th, attracted about 40,000 visitors.

The experience of riding a tuning car, driving a racing car circuit, and a drift demonstration game were provided as things to enjoy, attracting the attention of not only general spectators but also enthusiasts.

In particular, about 150 athletes and the general public participated in the ‘On/Off-Road Racing Competition’, showing off the driving skills of a wonderful tuning car full of their own personality.

This ‘1st TS Tuning Car Festival’ was prepared to improve negative perceptions about car tuning, create a healthy tuning culture, and revitalize the tuning industry.

The tuning car market, which had a market size of 2.2 trillion won in 2017, has grown rapidly by more than 190% in three years to about 5.9 trillion won in 2020. It is expected to reach 10 trillion won by 2030.
