Ahead of the presidential election, various hateful expressions taking advantage of social conflicts are appearing in the political arena.
Conflicts between men and women and gazes toward the socially weak are also used according to political gain or loss.
Can this politics of hate escape from this election?
Correspondent Kokkok and Park Seo-kyung of the presidential election.

Rumors circulating on YouTube surrounding the wife of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol appeared on a mural in a used bookstore.
These are allegations surrounding the so-called ‘past’.
“Don’t block it, why block it. Freedom of expression is not freedom of expression either.”
In the fierce conflict between pros and cons, the mural was erased as the criticism of ‘human rights’ was strengthened, but this time, the names of women who appeared in connection with the suspicion of Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung were written on it.
Hate begets hate.
“But this is what caused divisions.”
Hate knows no boundaries.
Amid the Olympic fever, the national archery player, Ansan, was also summoned to the political arena.
He was bullied online by some men because of his short hair and the expressions he used in the past.
Politicians did not miss this.

Disability hatred also emerged.
Personal attacks have been pouring in against Lee Sang-min, chairman of the election commission of the Democratic Party of Korea, because he recommended that Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung, who was running for president, resign as governor.

Hate speech is rampant, and the public thinks that politicians are encouraging it.
In a 2019 public perception survey, nearly 6 out of 10 (58.8%) said that politicians play a negative role in promoting hate speech.
Areas of hate were also diverse, such as regions of origin, women, sexual minorities, and migrants.
Last year, the Human Rights Commission recommended that politicians from the opposition parties come up with measures to prevent hate speech, but as the presidential election draws near, the sentiments of politicians trying to use hate continue to rise to the surface.

As politicians, who should take the lead in protecting the human rights of the people, emphasize provocative expressions for the purpose of political gain, the pit of our social conflict is deepening little by little without realizing it.
