Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung is accelerating policy action by announcing a campaign committee-wide pledge to create more than 2 million jobs through ‘digital transformation’.
Kim Jong-in, who was proposed as the general election chairperson by Candidate Yun Seok-yeol, the People’s Power, said that he would return to daily life and practically refused to join the election, and the conflict between the two people is growing.

Candidate Jae-myung Lee is accelerating his policy move as he first announced his pledge at the company.
What promises did you make?

This morning, the central office in Yeouido, Seoul announced the promise of ‘a great digital transformation’.
Candidate Jae-myung Lee recently released a series of small but fruitful ‘commitment to small-activities’ such as a one-year deferment of virtual asset taxation, measures against motorcycle noise, and expansion of consignment hospitals for veterans through SNS.
This is the first time that the election committee has publicly announced its promises.
Candidate Lee said that he would usher in an era of expanding digital territory on the basis of former President Kim Dae-jung’s ‘high-speed internet network’, former President Roh Moo-hyun’s ‘e-government’ and President Moon Jae-in’s ‘data dam’.
He announced that he would build physical and institutional infrastructure with an investment of 135 trillion won for five years after taking office and support the digital transformation of traditional industries.
He added that it will draw more than 250 trillion won in private investment in the process of starting and growing private companies.
He emphasized that this could have the effect of creating jobs.

Former Chairman Kim Jong-in met with reporters this morning and said he did not want to talk about political issues anymore and that he would return to his daily life.
This is read to mean that he practically rejected the proposal of Candidate Seok-Yeol Yoon’s general election chairman.

In the midst of this, Candidate Yoon had a luncheon meeting with seven preliminary candidates who had competed in the primary, including former Auditor General Choi Jae-hyung, former Incheon Mayor Ahn Sang-soo, and lawmaker Ha Tae-kyung.
However, Assemblyman Hong Jun-pyo and former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min are still not responding to the request to meet.
