Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung announced that he would push for a nationwide disaster relief fund ahead of the implementation of a ‘step-by-step recovery’.
The People’s Power immediately made its opposition clear and downplayed candidate Lee Jae-myung as just a grasshopper and a patronizing policy.

Democratic presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung, after holding a meeting with health and medical professionals to check the ‘step-by-step recovery of daily life’, brought up the story of the national disaster relief fund.
He pointed out that the amount of aid relative to the gross domestic product is far smaller than that of other countries, and emphasized the need for additional support by significantly increasing it.

He also expressed his will to secure financial resources at the budget assembly next month at the earliest.
[이재명 / 더불어민주당 대선 후보 : 이번 정기국회 국면에서 최대한 확보를 해보고, 또 다음 추경도 신속하게 하는 방법까지 감안해서 가능한 방법을 반드시 찾도록 하겠습니다.]
It even hinted at the possibility of a third extra budget, but there is also an embarrassing atmosphere inside the ruling party.
A key Democratic Party official said that it would be good to have additional support, but it is still too early to discuss the method or budget reflection.
Camp officials were also wary of extended interpretations, saying that they were just talking about the beliefs that Lee usually had.
As the presidential candidate of the huge ruling party, the possibility of pushing forward at the regular National Assembly with less than a month left remains, and the power of the people immediately took the offensive.
CEO Lee Jun-seok criticized Lee by comparing him to a grasshopper in a fairy tale, saying that he was a person who came up with a philanthropic policy.

The national disaster subsidy can only be achieved when the government’s consensus as well as support from the ruling party is drawn.
The opposition’s backlash is also a variable, and I am interested in what choice Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party will make.
