[정치]Lee Jae-myung-Lee Nak-yeon’s workshop continues… Reinforcement of Yoon Seok-yeol and Choi Jae-hyung’s policies

[앵커]

While the Democratic Party’s presidential candidates, Lee Jae-myung and Lee Nak-yeon, took a side-by-side policy move, the out-of-field battles continued between camps.

People’s Power Candidates Seok-Yeol Yoon and Jae-Hyeong Choi are concentrating on strengthening policies following the appointment of candidates.

After a while, the ruling and opposition parties are scheduled to hold a general meeting of the Culture and Culture Committee to deliberate on the revision of the Media Arbitration Act, and the punitive damages system is expected to become an issue.

Let’s connect with reporters. Reporter Taemin Kim!

First, let’s take a look at the movements of the presidents one by one.

Democratic presidential candidates, did you announce your representative policies side by side today?

[기자]

The Democratic presidential candidates, who declared a ceasefire after a negative battle, took a policy step side by side today.

First, Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung announced the basic financial policy, one of his representative pledges, the ‘basic series’ this morning.

He emphasized that he would resolve the polarization in the financial market by guaranteeing basic loan rights of up to 10 million won and lowering the legal maximum interest rate.

Prior to this, former CEO Nak-yeon Lee also announced that he would eliminate blind spots in welfare by proposing the introduction of a nationwide physician system as one of his representative promises of ‘new welfare’.

In particular, former CEO Lee met with reporters at this event and emphasized the need for verification that does not hurt each other in relation to the recent workshop between runners.

However, the over-the-counter nerve war between the two camps does not seem to have subsided easily today.

Lee Nak-yeon’s camp spokesman Oh Young-hoon continued the offensive, saying that maintaining Lee Jae-myung’s governorship could lead to privatization of power.

In response to this, Park Chan-dae, a spokesperson for the Lee Jae-myung camp, rebutted that it was not convincing, referring to the remarks of former president Nak-yeon Lee, who pointed out that the resignation of the governorship was a matter of conscience.

In response to this over-the-counter nerve battle in spite of the negative cessation declaration, the party leadership repeatedly requested restraint.

CEO Song Young-gil, who held a press conference on the 100th day of his inauguration today, emphasized the need to refrain from each camp in accordance with the purpose of the candidates who declared negative suspension.

Aren’t the people’s power runners also gradually increasing their enthusiasm for personnel appointments and policy reinforcement?

[기자]

People’s Power The influential presidential candidate, Yoon Seok-yeol, ‘National Camp’ announced this morning a policy advisory group, a think tank.

42 people were included, including former bureaucrats and professors, including Lee Do-hoon, who was in charge of the North Korean nuclear issue under the Moon Jae-in government.

As controversy arose over former President Yoon’s 120-hour workweek and Japan’s nuclear radiation leak remarks, it is expected that the policy will be refined and the message will be clearly organized.

However, former President Yoon himself is refraining from going outside for a certain period of time even after testing negative for COVID-19.

Former Auditor General Choi Jae-hyeong, who was criticized for not being prepared for the policy, seems to be conscious of the criticism, announcing a market-friendly real estate policy message through SNS and strengthening the policy action.

Former President Choi suggested a solution of his own, saying that the private sector should significantly increase the supply of housing and lower the owner’s ownership tax and capital gains tax.

Existing People’s Power Party runners are also expanding their stride in earnest.

Rep. Hong Joon-pyo hired former Blue House policy chief Lee Myung-bak, Lee Myung-bak, who is considered one of the chief policy makers as the co-election chairperson, and indirectly criticized those who worked with him during the Gyeongnam governorship but went to other camps.

Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, who announced the appointment of the first camp, including eight active-duty lawmakers yesterday, will go to Busan to meet Mayor Park Hyung-joon and hold a press conference.

Jeju Governor Won Hee-ryong, who has been emphasizing the one team, joined the full-fledged criticism of the X-Men who undermines the fair value of former President Yoon Seok-Yeol toward the Yun Seok-Yeol camp personnel who were uncomfortable participating in party events.

After a while, the current controversial media arbitration law will be deliberated, right?

[기자]

Yes, it is.

The ruling and opposition parties will hold a general meeting of the Culture and Culture Committee at 2 pm today to deliberate on the amendment to the Media Arbitration Act.

The amendment to the Media Arbitration Act was passed on the 27th of last month amid opposition from the opposition,

It has been criticized for excessively infringing on freedom of the press, including a system of up to five times punitive damages and the right to block access to Internet articles.

In particular, the opposition party strongly criticized it as an attempt to curb the media ahead of next year’s presidential election.

Let’s listen to Kim Ki-hyun, floor leader of the People’s Power.

[김기현 / 국민의힘 원내대표 : 유신정권 때에도 유례를 찾을 수 없는 언론통제 시도, 결국 이 정권에 화로 돌아갈 것임을 엄중하게 경고합니다.]

On the other hand, Democratic Party floor leader Yun Ho-joong reiterated his will to deal with it, saying it is a bill that effectively relieves victims of fake news reports.

Let’s listen together.

[윤호중 / 더불어민주당 원내대표 : 허위 조작 보도를 한 언론사에 합당한 손해배상 책임을 물어 언론사의 자정 능력을 강화하고 피해자를 실효적으로 구제하는….]

Accordingly, at today’s plenary meeting of the Culture and Cultural Affairs Committee, a struggle and strife between the ruling and opposition parties are expected over these issues.

While the Democratic Party emphasized that it would surely pass the bill at the plenary session on the 25th, the opposition party announced an application for agenda adjustment, so it is unlikely that a resolution will be made today.
