[정치]Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs – Tomorrow’s Cargo Alliance Negotiations… In the event of a breakdown, an order to commence business will be issued

[앵커]

Amidst the transport disruption caused by the cargo union strike, the government and the cargo union decided to sit down and discuss tomorrow (28th).

The government intends to demand an unconditional return, but if negotiations break down, it is expected to issue an order to resume work sooner or later.

In a situation where concerns about transport disruption are increasing due to the cargo union strike, Lands, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Won Hee-ryong searched for companies expected to suffer damage and checked if there were any problems.

From the construction site using cement, they repeatedly pressed the cargo union with a card to activate the order to start working, saying that the construction was in danger of being stopped.

The Cargo Solidarity and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, whose jobs are still parallel, decided to sit down for the first time since the strike on Monday.

The official talk has only been about two weeks since the last 15 days.

Although a negotiating table has been established, the prospects for negotiations are not bright as the cargo union, which demands the abolition of the sunset system of safe freight rates and the expansion of items, and the government which they cannot accept.

If there is no progress in the negotiations and the strike continues, the government intends to take steps to order the start of work.

We are reviewing ways to start selectively with industries such as cement and ready-mixed concrete that are expected to suffer significant immediate damage.

A high-ranking government official told YTN that it is unlikely that the agenda will be raised at the cabinet meeting on the 29th, as it is necessary to observe the discussions and prepare data to prove the damage.

However, he said that if the damage increases, an interim cabinet meeting may be held even later in the week to take a decision.

However, what is key is that the government must prove that the procedure to deliver this order to individual borrowers continues after the decision, and that the damage caused by the refusal of transport is serious.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport also warned that it would find the perpetrators and take severe punishment for accidents in which stones flew and damaged trucks that were operating normally at the Busan New Port.
