President Moon Jae-in is leaving for Rome, Italy for a 9-day, 7-night European tour.

The first place to visit is the Vatican Vatican.

A meeting with Pope Francis is scheduled, and opinions on the progress of the peace process on the Korean Peninsula are expected to be exchanged.

At this meeting, President Moon is likely to request the pope’s visit to North Korea once again to bring North Korea to the table of dialogue.

In addition, we will attend the summit of 20 major countries, which will be held in the form of the first face-to-face meeting since Corona.

President Moon plans to participate in all three summit sessions on international economy and health, climate change and environment, and sustainable development.

A meeting with US President Joe Biden is also noteworthy.

The Blue House said that it expects President Moon and President Biden to meet in some form, but explained that the schedule for the summit has not been set.

President Moon will also attend the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties in Glasgow, UK.

It is an opportunity to inform the international community of Korea’s 2050 carbon neutral scenario and the plan to raise the national greenhouse gas reduction target by 2030.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida can also attend the meeting, and it is interesting to see if the two leaders will meet for the first time and make a breakthrough in the tight relationship between Korea and Japan.
