In particular, the group decided to hire a large number of young talents in new business fields such as robotics, urban air mobility (UAM), hydrogen energy, and autonomous driving, which the group is focusing on.

Of the total 46,000 jobs, the remaining 16,000, excluding direct employment (30,000), will be prepared through human resource development and start-up support.

Specifically, 15,000 people will benefit from talent development programs such as △group company internships (3,400 people), △industry-university cooperation (5,600 people), and future technology job training (6,000 people).

The remaining 1,000 jobs are invested in start-ups. It plans to support 1,000 young entrepreneurs through the △Zero One program, which fosters and invests in new businesses, and the △H-OnDream program, which discovers and nurtures social enterprises.

Prime Minister Kim said at the meeting that day, “I am especially grateful to the Hyundai Motor Group for promising to create the largest number of jobs among the companies that have participated.”

He continued, “It reminds me of the spirit of challenge for youth of the late Chairman Ju-Young Chung, who said, ‘Hey, have you tried it?’”

“At the end of the day, young people should lead this country,” said Chairman Chung. I think it is an important opportunity to set the direction for what we need to do hard.” He replied, “It is our natural duty to create jobs.”

Hyundai Motor Group’s last project, ‘Youth Hope ON’, which is a youth employment project supported by companies and supported by the government to expand youth jobs, will end on this day. Through this, the government secured 179,000 jobs from six large corporations.
