As of 9pm on the 31st, there were 270,000 new confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) across the country.
According to local governments, including Seoul, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in 17 cities and provinces across the country from 0 am to 9 pm that day was 275,599.
There were 41,497 fewer than the 131,096 at the same time the day before.
As there is still time until midnight, when the counting ends, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced on April 1, a day later, is likely to be higher than this.
As of 9 p.m. that day, there were 147,441 (51.8%) new confirmed cases in the metropolitan area and 138,858 (48.2%) in non-metropolitan areas.
