Yes, it is raining quite heavily in Busan right now.
Busan is about 330km away from the center of the typhoon, but you can feel the typhoon rising as the wind blows very strongly from moment to moment.
A typhoon warning came into effect in Busan from 9 o’clock last night.
Here in Haeundae, along the coast, tall buildings including L City are very populated, so the tension increases whenever a typhoon comes.
A very strong wind blows between the buildings, so there is concern about damage from strong winds.
In the Busan area, high waves hit the shoreline during Typhoon Hinnamno earlier, and many facilities were damaged around the Songdo, Gwangalli, and Haeundae areas.
The restoration work is not yet complete, so there is concern that damage will not happen again.
Neighboring residents prepared for the typhoon by closing most of their businesses and building sandbags as they were nervous.
The typhoon closest to Busan is expected to be around 11 am today (19th).
The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted heavy rain of 100 to 150 mm in the Busan area.
In addition, it is expected that a strong wind of around 120 km/h would blow for a moment.
The landslide emergency warnings in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam have also been raised to ‘take care’.
In order to prevent typhoon damage, the Busan Metropolitan Education Office decided to hold remote classes in all schools in the area today (19th).
