Born in California, USA, Kevin Kron started his professional baseball career when he was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 14th round with the 420th pick in 2014. He showed excellent slugging skills, such as recording.

In particular, Cron played 82 games in the 2019 season, batting 0.331, 101 hits, 38 homers, and OPS of 1.226, achieving the most home runs in the Triple-A Pacific Coast League (PCL) league, entering the MLB during the season. Cron, who recorded 15 hits and 6 home runs in 47 games in the major leagues until the following year, played for Hiroshima Toyo Carp in NPB in 2021.

SSG said, “Kevin Cron is a first baseman who can play an active role in the center batting line due to his excellent physique (196cm, 115kg) and his ability to float the ball. I decided that it could contribute to maximization.”

Kevin Cron said, “I’m really looking forward to next year’s new challenge in Korean baseball. I want to prepare well for next season for the rest of the year and show good performances to Korean fans, and I will do my best so that SSG can advance to the postseason.”
