A 0% quota tariff is applied on 13 imported items, including cooking oil, flour, and pork.
In addition, the 30% reduction in individual consumption tax for passenger cars, which was scheduled to end at the end of this month, will be extended until the end of the year.
The government made this decision at the cabinet meeting presided over by President Yoon Seok-yeol on the morning of the 21st, said an official from the presidential office.
An official from the presidential office said, “We have decided to cut tariff quotas on 13 imported items whose prices and supply and demand are unstable. We expect it to play a major role in helping and reducing the burden on consumers.”
