16.5 lakh people took up the Dubai Fitness Challenge

Record participation in Dubai ∙ Fitness Challenge this time. The fifth edition of the Fitness Challenge, which ran from October 29 to November 27, was attended by more than 16.5 million people on the Dubai Ride and Run. Starting with the goal of making Dubai a healthier city, the challenge is to get 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days. This time 33,000 cyclists took part in the Dubai Ride. 1,46,000 for the Dubai run. In addition, fitness villages were held at Kite Beach, Musharraf Park and Expo Village.

There were 40 sports events and 10,000 free classes. These fitness villages and fitness hubs were attended by 2,30,000 people. From pedal tennis to yoga, people became part of it. Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, said next year’s Fitness Challenge will run from October 28 to November 26. It is estimated that the number of participants in the Fitness Challenge has doubled in four years.
