Thiruvananthapuram – Lulu Group Chairman and Managing Director MA Yousafali said that the five-star Hyatt Regency hotel will be inaugurated tomorrow by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan, Union Minister V. Muralidharan, State Ministers, MPs and others will participate. The state-of-the-art Hyatt Regency is the third hotel to be launched in Kerala by the Lulu Group and international hotel chain Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Earlier the hotel was opened in Kochi and Thrissur. Thiruvananthapuram is the 15th Hyatt Regency in the country.
The Hyatt Regency is located on 2.2 acres of Vashuthakkad in the heart of the capital. 600 crores of investment. The hotel has eight floors including the basement car park. The Grand Hall at Hyatt Regency will become one of the largest convention centers in the city. There is room for 1000 people in the Great Hall. Adjacent to the swimming pool, the 10,500 square foot Great Hall stands out for its premium interior design and abundance of space.
A tall escalator and glass elevator lead to the Great Hall. Along with the Great Hall, the hotel has 20,000 square feet of dynamic events space spread across three venues, the Royal Ballroom and the Crystal, which can accommodate up to 700 people at a time. The hotel is designed to host a variety of large and small events including weddings and corporate conferences in both indoor and outdoor venues.
One of the main attractions at Hyatt Regency is the largest presidential suite with first class facilities. The presidential suite has an area of 1650 square feet. The design of the suite provides a panoramic view of the city. Apart from this, the hotel has 132 rooms including a Diplomatic Suite, six Regency Suites and 37 Club Rooms. There are five restaurants namely Malabar Cafe, Oriental Kitchen, Ivory Club, All Things Baked and Regency Lounge which offer a variety of dining experiences.
