2 additional Omicron infections in Sejong… All from Kenya

In Sejong, two new cases of infection with Omicron, a new mutant virus for COVID-19, were added.

According to the city of Sejong on the 31st, these are Koreans who returned from a visit to Kenya.

Quarantine authorities are identifying their movement routes and contacts.

With this, the number of Omicron infections in Sejong has risen to eight.

All of them are foreigners.

“We plan to provide scientific and systematic epidemiological investigation data to public health centers by identifying the spread of Omicron in real time,” said Sang-goo Yeo, head of the Infectious Disease Research Division.
