20 days in jail for WhatsApp chat: Aryan’s lawyer | Aryan Khan

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has not granted bail to actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a drunken case. The hearing will continue today. Former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, who appeared for Aryan, questioned whether a person could be jailed for 20 days for WhatsApp chat without any evidence.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has said that Aryan is not only a drug user but also a businessman and needs time to look into his links to the international drug racket. Shah Rukh’s manager Pooja Dadlani alleged that he destroyed evidence and tried to sabotage the case by influencing witnesses.

Rohatgi also claimed that he went to a party on the ship but did not use, buy, sell or conspire. No intoxication was seized. At the invitation of yesterday, he went to a party with his friend Arbas Merchant. He was taken into custody before boarding the ship.

What has Aryan got to do with chatting with friends in 2018, 2019 and 2020 while in the US? ‘ Some drugs are not banned in the US. Rohatgi said there was no complaint against NCB Mumbai director Sameer Wankade.

Aryan, who was arrested on March 3, has been lodged in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail since August 8. The court, which is handling drug cases, yesterday granted bail to two persons arrested in the case.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik has released a letter alleging that Mumbai chief Wankhede had embezzled money using the NCB. The letter said that money was taken from actresses including actress Deepika Padukone in a drunken case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh. The letter was addressed to an unnamed NCB officer.
