2,000 new cases again in 20 days… Inoculation completed 72%

After 20 days in Korea, 2,000 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed.

The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters announced that there were 2,111 new confirmed cases as of 00:00 today (28th). 2,095 cases were domestic and 16 cases were imported from abroad.

By region, 785 in Seoul, 707 in Gyeonggi, 136 in Incheon, 106 in Daegu, 82 in South Chungcheong, 54 in North Chungcheong, 51 in Busan, 41 in Jeonbuk, 40 in Gyeongbuk, and 34 in Gyeongnam.

The number of severe cases increased by 4 in a day to 345, and the death toll increased by 11, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,808. The fatality rate is 0.78%.

Yesterday, 137,657 COVID-19 tests were conducted.

In a single day, 76,802 people received the first dose and 255,616 people who completed the inoculation increased to 40,97884 cumulative first doses and 36,978,850 people who completed the dose.

Compared to the population, the primary vaccination rate is 79.8% and the completion rate is 72.0%.
