2,000 people in 20 days… ‘Restoration of daily life’ plan confirmed and announced tomorrow

Anticipation for the recovery of daily life is showing an increase in the amount of movement, and as Halloween Day approaches, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is increasing.

The number of new confirmed cases announced today was 2,111, which rose to the 2,000 level again in 20 days.

While the incidence of confirmed cases in their 20s and 30s has decreased significantly as the vaccination rate has increased, the number of confirmed cases is increasing mainly among middle and high school students who have not been vaccinated, the foreign group, and the elderly with reduced immunity to vaccination.

“(Reducing the distance) increased contact also affects the increase in the prevalence, and the incidence is increasing in unvaccinated groups and those subject to booster vaccination with reduced immunity after vaccination (situation).”

The government strongly recommended vaccination, stating that unvaccinated people are 9.4 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than those who have been vaccinated and have a 22 times greater risk of developing serious illness.

“Completing vaccination is of paramount importance to prevent serious illness and death.”

The gradual normal recovery scheduled for next week will proceed as scheduled.

The government has decided to lift the restrictions on operating hours for multi-use facilities nationwide, but to limit some high-risk facilities, such as entertainment facilities, from the 1st stage of daily recovery to 12:00 pm.

The government is expected to announce the final implementation plan for the phased recovery of daily life tomorrow.
