Sports Club Sagamihara Co., Ltd. has decided to cancel “2022 Meiji Yasuda Seimei J3 League Section 7 SC Sagamihara vs YSCC Yokohama” scheduled to be held at Sagamihara Gion Stadium tomorrow on April 29, 2022 (Friday / holiday). I will inform you.
Along with this, the event match “Sagamihara Dream Match 2022” scheduled to be held on the day has also been decided to be cancelled.
The match was canceled because it was clear that the number of players who could enter did not meet the minimum number of players stipulated in the J.League rules due to the occurrence of multiple people positive for the new coronavirus infection in SC Sagamihara.
As a background, multiple players of SC Sagamihara’s top team received a positive diagnosis of new coronavirus infection, and according to the J League new coronavirus infection response guideline, positive people and those who meet the close contact suspicion criteria stipulated in the guideline Isolated from the team. As a result, it became clear that the number of people who can enter, excluding those who were isolated and those who could not return to team activities due to injury etc., could not meet the prescribed number of 13 or more.
Based on the above, the J-League Chairman has decided to cancel the match based on Article 62 of the J-League Rules.
