2024 Copa America; The location will be the United States

America will host the Copa America 2024 soccer tournament. The venue was announced jointly by the Latin American Football Federation and the North American Football Federation. America was chosen as a location to strengthen the relationship between the two continents. Ten teams from Latin America, including Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, and six countries from the CONCAF region will take part in the tournament. The competition will be held in four groups. The reigning Summit champions are the world champions, Argentina.

This is the second time the United States has hosted the Copa America tournament to find the best in Latin America. In 2016, the United States hosted the Copa America tournament for the first time. In addition to Latin American countries, six countries from the CONCAF region also took part in the tournament.

After 28 years of waiting, Argentina won the Summit

Argentina took the Summit at the Maracana by ending 28 years without a title. Argentina won the title by defeating current Copa champions Brazil by one goal. So in the white and blue shirt, Messiah and his Brazilian team returned answering the question that they are not the powerhouse of Latin America.

A minute’s silence was observed for victims of Covid-19 at the Maracana where the first whistle blew for the final match. Argentina dominated the game even after the first half of the dream final that the football world was waiting for. Argentina’s only goal comes in the 22nd minute of the game, breaking Brazilian hearts. Rodrigo de Paul’s long pass from his own half goes past defender Renan Lodi and onto Maria’s feet… Maria’s chip goes past the Brazilian goalkeeper and into the goal post.

Both teams created several scoring opportunities in the second half, but only the goal came from there. All Brazil’s progress was wasted when Argentina goalkeeper Emilio Martinez was waiting for the net with a superb performance under the bar. This was the first final between Brazil and Argentina since the Copa America final in 2007, when Argentina lost in tears. Later, the resounding battle where the two faced each other was the Copa Semi-Final 2019. Even then the victory was with the Canaries.

Argentina also leads the list of total Copa victories. While Argentina won the title 15 times, Brazil managed to win it nine times. With the final victory of the Copa, Argentina also owns the achievement of being the team with the most titles in the Copa. Argentina shares the record with Uruguay.
