Group iKON member Bobby (Kim Ji-won, 26) released the news of marriage and pregnancy at once on the 20th.
According to his agency YG Entertainment, on the afternoon of the same day, Bobby posted a handwritten letter on his SNS about the marriage and the second generation.
Bobby said, “I promise to marry the person I love. And I will become a father again in September.”
He also comforted fans who would have been surprised by the sudden news of their marriage.
He said, “I’m happy to have a new family, but I feel even more sorry for the fans who will be embarrassed by my sudden news. I should have informed you sooner, but because of this, I am sorry for the delay because I started worrying about it.
Personally, it is something to be happy and to celebrate, but it is a way to pre-treat the anger of the fans.
Bobby debuted as iKON’s main rapper in 2015. In 2014, before his debut, he won the Mnet ‘Show Me the Money 3’ and drew attention.
Fans expressed their feelings of discomfort even though they said, “I support you.” Not a few fans posted a message saying, “I’m transferring Bobby’s Poca (photo card)” and disposing of Barbie’s goods.
In the case of EXO’s Chen last year, it was also the case that a popular active idol member suddenly announced the news of marriage and the second generation. Chen said, “I will repay you for the love you have given me unchangingly,” but the fandom was divided.
