Seoul, South Korea – Popular actor Ok Taecyeon delighted fans during the welcome back exhibition for the movie ‘Hansan Redux’ held at the Lotte Cinema Word Tower in Songpa-gu. The event took place on the afternoon of the 11th, where the talented actor interacted with his devoted fans.
‘Hansan Redux’ portrays the intense emotions experienced by Admiral Yi Sun-sin (played by Park Hae-il) before a crucial naval battle that determined the fate of Joseon during the early invasions of Japan in 1592. It also highlights the inspiring stories of those who fought alongside him. Due to positive feedback and overwhelming audience demand, the film ‘Hansan: Appearance of the Dragon’ was extended by an additional 21 minutes and 15 seconds. This version includes enhanced naval battle sequences and narration provided by various characters, including Admiral Yi Sun-sin.
Meanwhile, the immensely popular K-pop group 2PM commemorated their 15th anniversary since their debut with a grand concert. Members June, Nichkhun, Ok Taecyeon, Jang Wooyoung, Lee Junho, and Hwang Chanseong gathered for the special event, creating a nostalgic experience for their fandom, known as ‘Hottest’.
Reliving the Glory Days
On the 10th, 2PM held a solo concert titled ‘It’s 2PM’ at the prestigious Jamsil Indoor Gym in Seoul’s Songpa-gu district. This marked their first appearance in over six years, and the group made sure to leave a lasting impression on their fans. The Seoul performances took place on the 9th and the last two days, with additional shows scheduled at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan on October 7th and 8th.
During the concert, 2PM performed iconic songs such as ’10 out of 10′, their debut single released in 2008. The members further delighted the audience with their comeback song ‘My House’, along with energetic performances of ‘Adewid (bydda i)’, ‘Hani.ppun’, and ‘I’m Your Man’. Particularly, the ‘I’m Your Man’ stage drew the loudest cheers of the day, featuring captivating choreography as the members playfully loosened their shirts and ties.
Member Lee Jun-ho even took the opportunity to share an amusing anecdote, stating, “Isn’t it time to tear off my shirt like this when the response is good?” This remark evoked laughter from the crowd, as he recalled a memorable experience from a tour in Japan where he received an enthusiastic response when he raised two fingers.
The concert also allowed each member to showcase their individual talents through solo performances. Ok Taecyeon impressed the audience with a percussion-like rendition of ‘School Bell Ringing’, creating a harmonious and humorous atmosphere.
