"Not so many of our African-American students know where they come from. Everyone who is taught is slavery, one side of service," said Bradshaw. "They need to know that we were very long before slavery. We took a country with our shoes, sweatshirts and tears, and our ancestors are the reason why they can be great today. You have people who want to look like you to see society, and the African contribution is left in school. I teach a math, but I woke up and I'm planning to wake up all students who come through MMS halls. "
