Mohanlal’s big budget film Marakkar directed by Priyadarshan; Liberty Basheer, president and film producer of the Film Exhibitors Federation, said that Antony Perumbavoor had told him that the Lion of the Arabian Sea would be released in theaters. With the theaters in Kerala set to open on October 25, there were rumors that Marakkar would be released on the ODT platform.
OTD releases are sometimes seen alongside the theatrical release. However, the film will not be screened in ODT alone unless it is released in theaters. The current expectation is that Marakkar will be released in time for Christmas. “The news that Marakkar is coming to theaters is very comforting for the owners,” Liberty Basheer told Manorama News.
