Kovid confirmed 6546 people in the state today. 66,486 samples were tested in 24 hours. TPR 9.84%. Today, it has been confirmed that Kovid is responsible for 50 deaths in the last few days. In addition, there have been 231 reported deaths as appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court and 186 deaths up to June 18 last year which were not confirmed due to lack of adequate documentation. This brings the total death toll in the state to 33,515.

The worst affected districts are Ernakulam 1037, Thiruvananthapuram 888, Kollam 774, Kozhikode 754, Thrissur 724, Kottayam 508, Kannur 394, Palakkad 343, Pathanamthitta 267, Wayanad 220, Malappuram 215, Idukki 181, Alappuzha 142 and Kasaragod 99. The weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) is 46 wards in 39 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here. There are currently 2,40,336 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 2,33,927 are under home / institutional quarantine and 6409 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 332 people were newly admitted to the hospital. Currently, out of 72,876 Kovid cases, only 7 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

Today, 16 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 6041 people were infected through contact. The contact source for 448 is not clear. The disease affected 41 health workers. 6934 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1229, Kollam 554, Pathanamthitta 585, Alappuzha 307, Kottayam 591, Idukki 399, Ernakulam 944, Thrissur 119, Palakkad 300, Malappuram 319, Kozhikode 816, Wayanad 293, Kannur 369 and Kasaragod 109 were cured. With this, 72,876 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 49,01,369 have so far been freed from Kovid.
