49 new infections have been reported in Beijing, China, where lockdown areas are increasing due to the spread of COVID-19.

According to the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention on the 29th, there were 49 new infections (including 2 asymptomatic) in Beijing the day before.

By recent date, there were 6 people on the 22nd, 22 people on the 23rd, 19 people on the 24th, 33 people on the 25th, 34 people on the 26th, 50 people on the 27th, and 49 people on the 28th.

Since the 25th, Beijing has been conducting PCR testing for COVID-19 every other day in 12 districts, which account for more than 90% of the population, for all residents.

A third test is done on the 29th and 30th.

As for the management and control areas that prevented people from leaving the residential complex except for essential reasons, one location in Chaoyang District on the 25th, two in Tongzhou District and one in Pengtai District on the 26th, and two in Chaoyang District on the 27th.

Currently, 246 buildings are under containment management in these management and control zones.

Restaurants, movie theaters, libraries, art galleries, museums, karaoke rooms, and PC rooms cannot be opened in the management and control areas.

However, shops, supermarkets, and hospitals that sell basic daily necessities are operating normally.

In addition to the management and control areas, Beijing strengthened quarantine measures over an area of ​​about 500 square meters, centering on SKP Department Store, a famous department store in Chaoyang District this morning.

People living or working in the area will have to undergo additional PCR tests three times every other day from today, and gatherings will be banned.

Separately, Chaoyang-gu, with a population of 3.5 million, has temporarily suspended business such as clubs, karaoke rooms, electronic arcades, internet cafes, and performance halls from 5 pm on the 28th.

In addition, accommodation facilities such as guesthouses near Beijing cannot accept guests who do not have a PCR-negative certificate within 48 hours during the Labor Day holiday (April 30 to May 4).

Meanwhile, the number of new infections in Shanghai the previous day was 15,32 (including 9,545 asymptomatic infections).

The actual number of new infections, excluding cases that were classified as asymptomatic and then reclassified as symptomatic confirmed cases, was 9,970, similar to the 27th (9,764).

The city of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, canceled all domestic flights operated from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport from the 29th to the 30th to prevent the influx of infections.

The total number of new infections in China is 15,588 (including 9,942 asymptomatic infections), and the actual number of new infections, excluding double counted cases, is 1463.

According to the China Sanitation and Health Commission, the cumulative number of infections in China from April (1st to 28th) was 563,814.
