5 dead, including 9-month-old baby; Suspicion of family quarrel: Police

Bangalore: Five members of a family, including a nine-month-old baby, have been found dead inside their home, police say. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjeev M Patil said the cause of death was not clear and a search was on for a suicide note or any other evidence.

After three or four days, the neighbors will try to find out the fact that they did not know about the incident. It is suspected that the family quarrel followed. However, he said that this has not been confirmed and further investigation into the case is underway.

Five members of a family were found dead at their house in Chetan Circle, Tigalarapalaya, Magadi Road, Karnataka. Bharathi (51), her sons Sinchana (34), Sindhurani (21) and Madhusagar (25) were found hanging in different rooms and Sindhurani’s baby girl was found dead in bed on Friday night.

A three-year-old girl who was found unconscious without food has been admitted to hospital. Bharathi’s husband and Kannada journalist Shankar has not been home for a few days. The death was reported when he returned after not picking up the phone for three days. Many bodies were beginning to rot.
