If you want healthy skin, you must supply good nutrition to your cells. To slow the aging of the skin, you need to pay special attention to your food intake. If you overeat last night with delicious fries, pizza and drinks, you’re more likely to wake up in the morning with a messy face. Facial pores may become enlarged, and the face may become swollen, itchy, or red.

Nutrition experts pointed out that foods low in fiber, foods low in antioxidants, and foods generally based on animal sources are the bad foods that promote skin aging. Consuming these inflammatory foods raises levels of markers of inflammation in the body. This inflammatory marker shortens the telomeres (small DNA structures) at the ends of chromosomes, making the skin age much faster. Based on data from the health site ‘The Healthy’ of the American magazine ‘Reader’s Digest’, ‘5 worst foods that make your skin age faster’ are introduced.

1. Fried

The delicious tempura that most people like is not too good for your skin. Frying food in hot oil releases free radicals. These ingredients damage the skin and quickly take away its elasticity. Worse, they contain dangerous trans fats and hydrogenated fats, which reduce cellular fluidity, strain the liver, and promote inflammation. Experts recommend avoiding trans fats and eating whole foods that are as close to nature as possible.

2. Sugar

Refined and processed sugar in packaged foods such as soda, sweets, and candy bars causes inflammation. Studies have shown that sugar causes cross-linking of collagen fibers, which causes skin aging. This causes wrinkles and makes the skin dry and inelastic.

3 ultra-processed carbohydrates

Ultra-processed refined carbohydrates belonging to ultra-processed foods (UPFs) include packaged white breads, donuts, pastries, cookies, chips, and instant foods such as ramen noodles. These junk foods (high-calorie but low-nutrition ready-to-eat and ready-to-eat foods) are inflammatory and contain little or no fiber. Increasing your fiber intake can promote the production of beneficial gut bacteria, which can lead to healthier skin.

4. Processed meat

Pieces of processed meat, such as bacon, sausage (pepperoni, salami, etc.), sandwiches, and pizza, are used in the tastiest food that makes you want to eat it. However, all of these foods lack healthful nutritional value. Processed meats are high in sodium, which can cause swelling. It also contains a preservative called nitrate that causes inflammation. Processed meat also consumes vitamin C, which is essential for collagen production and skin health.

5. Dairy products

Some dairy products are high in saturated fat and contain dangerous trans fats that can cause inflammation and accelerate skin aging. Trans fats are fats produced during the processing of vegetable oils into a solid or semi-solid state. Studies have shown that meat and dairy diets have cholesterol but no fiber, which causes inflammation and makes the skin age faster. Casein (a protein in milk) speeds up the aging of skin cells by causing inflammation and clogging pores, leading to acne and other skin conditions.
