’58 Guys’ Kim Seong-hyun, tied for 19th in the debut match of the 2nd U.S. tour

Kim Seong-hyeon (24), who hit 58 on the Japanese professional golf tour, finished in the middle rank with a rebound at the last minute in her debut match on the Konferi Tour, the second part of the American professional golf (PGA) tour.

Kim Seong-hyun shot a 4-under 68 in the final round of the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic ($750,000 total prize money) before the Korn Ferry Tour season opening game held at Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Club (par 72) in the Bahamas on the 20th (Korean time) for a total of 4 rounds. He tied for 19th with a 4-under 284.

Although it did not live up to expectations, Kim Seong-hyun showed a backheartedness by reducing 6 strokes in the 3rd and 4th rounds after overcoming the sluggishness in the 1st and 2nd rounds that were low enough to barely escape the cut.

In the fourth round, Kim Seong-hyeon, who caught one eagle and four birdies and served two bogeys, raised the ranking by a whopping 27 steps from the previous day.

Kim Seong-hyun became the first Korean tour to win the preliminary round at the 2020 KPGA Championship, and is a promising player who won the Japanese PGA Championship in July last year.

In the final round of the Japan Tour Golf Partner’s Pro-Am Tournament in May last year, without a caddy, he hit 58, the record for the lowest batting record in the history of the Japan Tour.

Kim Seong-hyun moved to the Korn Ferry Tour this year with the goal of advancing to the PGA Tour.

Prospect Aksai Batia (USA), who turned professional after graduating from high school in 2019, won the championship with a total of 14 under par 274.
