The 6/25 veterans show off their new summer team uniforms at the professional sports arena.

The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs announced on the 21st that it will unveil new summer team uniforms produced through the ‘Uniform Heroes’ project to raise awareness of veterans at the opening ceremony and opening ceremony of professional baseball and professional soccer matches.

In the professional baseball game between the Hanwha Eagles and the LG Twins held at 6:30 pm on the same day at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, Son Hee-won, chairman of the Korean War Veterans Association, will be the first pitcher.

Chairman Son was a member of the 1103st Field Engineer Corps during the Korean War, and performed an anti-tank defense mission to block the enemy’s maneuvering route by breaking down a cliff at the Battle of Baekamsan in 1953.

Eight veterans, including Chairman Son, will participate in the opening ceremony wearing new group uniforms, and the military band of the Ministry of National Defense will perform and sing the national anthem ahead of the opening ceremony.

In-seok Kim, CEO of LG Twins, said, “We have prepared the ceremonies for the veterans together with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Affairs to express our respect and gratitude to the Korean War veterans who bestowed freedom and peace on the month of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.”

When the war broke out as a trainee at the Army Artillery Academy, Secretary-General Kim jumped into the front line and participated in the Battle of Gimpo, Angang Machinery, and Yongmunsan.

Incheon United said, “It is an honor to be able to host the veterans in new group uniforms to the celebration event in Incheon, which has a special meaning such as the Incheon Landing Operation.”

‘Uniform Heroes’ is a project designed to replace the summer uniforms of veterans who were called ‘safety vests’ and to fulfill national respect and courtesy. 10 veterans, fashion designer Seokwon Kim, and photographer Woorim Hong etc participated.
