6 in 10 self-employed people should “freeze or reduce the minimum wage”

They found that 6 out of 10 self-employed people think the minimum wage should be frozen or reduced next year.

The Federation of Korean Industries announced the results of the ‘Minimum Wage and Management / Working Conditions Survey’ conducted on 500 self-employed people between the 2nd and 8th of last month by commissioning the polling agency Mono Research.

As a result of the survey, 58.4% of self-employed respondents said that the minimum wage should be frozen or reduced next year.

In terms of the proportion of respondents who said the minimum wage should be frozen or reduced, 67.5% of the accommodation and restaurant industries were the highest, followed by the education service industry with 65.6%.
