At around 5:30pm today, six people were struck by lightning on the sandy beach of Seorak Beach in Ganghyeon-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do.
Among them, a man in his 30s was taken to hospital in a state of cardiac arrest, but regained consciousness, and other injured people are known to be confused or complaining of chest pain.
At the time of the accident, it was reported that it was raining in the area, but the fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on reports that ″several people fell after being struck by lightning″.
