63% of New York voters want the resignation of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, according to the American political magazine Politico.
A Marist poll of 542 voters found that 63% of voters thought Cuomo should resign, while only 29% wanted Cuomo to finish his term.
Another 59% want Congress to impeach him if he does not resign, with 28% dissenting.
Additionally, only 12% of voters say Cuomo deserves re-election. That’s a significant drop from 36 percent when Marist asked in February. The sharp drop in support for Governor Cuomo comes after New York State Attorney General Tisci (Leticia) James released a report substantiating sexual harassment allegations.
