Sor. reveals interesting astronomical phenomena in the sky at the end of the year 2021, including Venus, the brightest of the year, meteor showers,

Today (2 Dec. 2021) National Astronomical Research Institute (Public Organization) or Sor. Open a dart of celestial phenomena to follow in the end of the year 2021 in December. There are interesting astronomical phenomena, namely:

  • Dec 7 Venus is the brightest of the year Venus appears brightly in the west after sunset until about 8:00 p.m.
  • Night 13 – Dawn 14 Dec. Geminid meteor shower The precipitation rate was about 150 moons/hour, most noticeable after 2:00 AM on December 14 until dawn. The center of distribution in the binary constellation.
  • 19 Dec The furthest full moon from Earth in a year (Micro Full Moon) The full moon appears slightly smaller than normal. Observe all night
  • 21 Dec winter solstice The longest night of the year The northern hemisphere countries are considered winter days. In the southern hemisphere countries are considered to be the day of summer.

In addition, there are also phenomena of nearby stars, moons, planets and bright stars to see throughout the month, including:

  • Dec. 3 Mars alongside the moon It began to be observed in the east around 05.28 until dawn.
  • 9 Dec. Jupiter beside the moon began to be observed in the west behind the sunset until about 10:30 p.m.
  • 21 Dec Pollux star alongside the moon It began to be observed in the east around 8:10 p.m. until dawn.
  • Dec 28 Mars alongside Antares It began to be observed in the east around 05.10 until dawn.
  • 29 Dec. Mercury alongside Venus began to be observed in the west behind the sunset until about 6:50 p.m.

However, if the visibility of the sky is good, there are no clouds, all phenomena can be viewed with the naked eye.
