[헤럴드경제=박로명 기자] Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 91, has separated from his fourth wife after six years.
The New York Times (NYT) reported on the 22nd (local time) that Murdoch is planning to divorce model and actor Jerry Hall, 65, citing sources.
Murdoch, who owns famous media such as Fox News, which ranks first among news channels, as well as the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), married Hall in March 2016. She was the wife of Hall’s vocalist Mick Jagger of the rock group The Rolling Stones.

The New York Times predicted that even if Murdoch divorced, there would be no major change in the management structure of the media outlets, such as Fox News and the WSJ, which Murdoch controlled with four children from former spouses.
Murdoch previously had six children from three wives. She divorced her first wife, a model, in 1965, and Murdoch, who was married to her second wife, a former newspaper reporter, for more than 30 years, eventually became husband and wife. At the time, it was reported that Murdoch paid 700 million pounds (about 1.1 trillion won) as alimony.
Murdoch married 30-year-old Wendi Deng for the third time in 1999 when she was 68, but they divorced in 2013.
