A Dementia workshop aims to help those living with the disease

The journey with dementia is a challenge and understanding of what is in front of them will be different, with reliable information about the types of help available to you.

That's according to Jane Hope, Alzheimer's Support and Education Co-ordinator at B.C. to the Valley.

To help the increasing number of people with dementia and their carers gain a better understanding of the health issue, the Society is giving a free Dementia Know to Know workshop to Duncan on Thursday, 2 May.

Participants will learn about the support available to them, how to start planning for the future, and also living strategies.

This session is aimed at people with early dementia symptoms, as well as family members or friends who have recently supported someone with a dementia diagnosis.
