Rep. Hong Jun-pyo and former Jeju Governor Won Hee-ryong, who had been arguing over questions and answers related to ‘hydrogen’ in the previous debate for the People’s Power presidential primary, met again over the ‘carbon tax’ in the debate on the 27th.

When former Governor Won asked his opinion on the ‘carbon tax’, Rep. Hong took issue with the intention of the question and criticized, “Does a person with such a brain do that?” Do you do it?” and asked for an apology, shouting loudly throughout the discussion.

A carbon tax was thrown as a topic, but the content was not mentioned at all, and the ‘level’ of questions and answers was taken into question. It ended after a war of nervesam. Policy Criticism has followed that even the debate is being caricatured.

It started with the former Governor Won. “I will not ask about hydrogen today, because you must have studied,” he continued, provoking the ‘hydrogen workshop’. Rep. Hong then expressed his displeasure, saying, “It is absurd to ask a question that will appear in high school science class.”

In response, former Governor Won discussed the carbon tax policy of Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung and asked Rep. Hong’s thoughts. Rep. Hong then demanded, “We will discuss the policy discussion with Candidate Lee when we meet with Lee. When former Governor Won pressured him to give an answer repeatedly, Rep. Hong raised his voice, saying, “What kind of scholarship quiz are you asking? I don’t answer the question because it feels vulgar.”

However, when former Governor Won responded, “If you become president, what will you do with the carbon tax? I’ll ask you right away when you go to an international conference.”

As more questions continued until the high school credit system, we ended up raising each other’s voices

When former Governor Won asked, “Are you going to do that even in the finals?” Rep. Hong replied, “I don’t do that in the finals. I’m much better.” In the process, former Governor Won appeared a little excited and urged, “Why don’t you answer and be sarcastic. Apologize,” and the discussion ended.

A similar scene was played out with the high school credit system to be implemented from 2025. When former Governor Won asked, “Do you know when it will be implemented?” Rep. Hong avoided an immediate answer, saying, “This administration’s education policy must be changed if I become president. There is no meaning.” In response, former Governor Won retorted, “Do you say that you don’t know well and that it doesn’t make any sense?” Rep. Hong responded, “I won’t answer the scholarship quiz questions.”

After the discussion, former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min said, “It hurts my ears because I’m between the two of you.”

“Reported in the carbon tax position interview” VS “Is the discussion a joke?”… Continued over-the-counter

The fight between the two continued even after the discussion.

Rep. Hong, referring to a media interview that revealed his position on the carbon tax, re-emphasized that the reason for refusing to answer former Governor Won’s answer was “because of his vulgar questioning attitude.”

Rep. Hong said on the social networking service (SNS) Facebook page, “I already said in an interview with the JoongAng Ilbo that the carbon tax is neutral due to the heavy burden on businesses and inflation.” I think there is,” he said.

He continued, “The question itself was as vulgar as the last hydrogen question, so I didn’t answer it today.”

He continued, “If you continue to insult others by asking questions in such a vulgar way in the last debate, I will continue to ignore you and refuse to answer,” he said. and wrote

The former governor’s office criticized Hong’s refusal to respond, saying, “It is shocking that a person who wants to become president does not know much about these major issues, but the answer is even more shocking.”

In a commentary, Baek Kyung-hoon, a spokesperson for the former governor’s camp, said, “You will do much better in the finals, are you doing your best because you are in the primary now?” It is an insult to the sincerity of the members and the members of the party.”
