On the 29th, beauty YouTuber Zeng Yu (real name Yoo Jung Yu) posted a video on her personal YouTube channel titled ‘I was cancer in my 20s’.

This video is a vlog video of Zeng Yu being diagnosed with thyroid cancer from hospitalization to discharge.

Zeng Yu wrote in the video, “I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer about 3 months ago and recently had surgery. I intentionally hid it because I thought the fans would be worried.

Zeng Yu also commented, “At first, I did an ultrasound of the thyroid gland in addition to the comprehensive check-up, but I couldn’t find it because I didn’t do it properly. I did a biopsy,” he said.

He continued, “The first stage of the fine needle aspiration test (a method of extracting and examining the cells of the lesion using a thin needle) came out at stage 3 (cancer risk 5 to 10%), and the second stage came out to stage 5 (cancer risk 60 to 75%). “I even had a genetic test and came to Seoul for surgery,” he said.

He said, “It is recommended that the thyroid gland undergo a thorough ultrasound examination at a specialized hospital. There are few symptoms, so regular check-ups are important.” He said, “I am recovering really well, so don’t worry. I will definitely come back with a beauty video next time.” added.
